Position Summary: This role is responsible for managing all aspects of an ALIGN Business Unit’s customer service and satisfaction, from RFQ receipt to PO placement to Shipment of Goods and associated customer inquiries. This person shall possess an understanding of customer technical requirements associated with programs and procurement cycles. This includes understanding key decision makers within each customer and building partnerships that enable business growth. Account Managers/Customer Service Representatives may report directly to this position. Daily interaction with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and other relevant functions is required to ensure product and quoting flow are completed in a timely manner to meet customer needs. This individual supports Business Development and is expected to lead customer-relevant data compilation and analysis to support annual sales budgets and customer strategies in support of their primary ALIGN Business Unit.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

                    Serves as a primary contact for key existing customers as well as new accounts at an ALIGN Business Unit

                    Acts as both a primary interface and an escalation point for customer concerns and program-related issues

                    Maintains and builds strong, long-term customer partnerships to enable Business Unit growth strategies while maintaining high customer satisfaction

                    Supports trains, and leads teammates who have customer-facing roles, such as Account Managers and Customer Service Representatives.

                    Manages site-specific sales pipelines and opportunity tracking

o   Ensures Estimating and/or related functions understand the voice of the customer as part of Bid/No Bid reviews and subsequent quoting initiatives

o   Holds Estimating and/or related functions accountable for adhering to RFQ due dates and ALIGN approval policies

o   Leverages data to advocate for customer strategies and pricing to improve win rate and profitability

                    Supports customer visits and presentations

                    Leads resolution of customer concerns as needed, including, but not limited to, the following:

o   Product quality

o   Delivery schedules

o   Pricing

o   Contract performance

·         Acts as primary internal liaison with operational functions to ensure successful execution of existing and new programs

·         Partners with Business Development to drive growth through new business opportunities, customer relationship management, and market expansion

Qualifications:


  • 2-4 years of relevant experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus advanced training 

 


  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner or develop alternative solutions 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs and Windows operating system 
  • Proficient in basic networking concepts 
  • Ability to thrive in a changing, fast-paced growing and dynamic business 
  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Supervisory Responsibilities:

·         Supervises, coordinates, and provides leadership to and reviews the work of assigned staff.

·         Directly supervises individual contributors in technical positions and/or entry level professionals.

·         Estimates staffing needs.

·         Assigns work.

·         Recommends candidates for employment and makes recommendations for terminations.

·         Conducts performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff.

·         Responsible for the application of company policies.

 

Travel Required: Occasional travel is possible
