This role involves developing and implementing effective sales strategies, fostering strong customer relationships, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets for our diverse range of pumping solutions.

Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team, drive revenue growth, and expand market share for Sulzer Pumps in South Africa. This role involves developing and implementing effective sales strategies, fostering strong customer relationships, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets for our diverse range of pumping solutions.
Job Responsibilities**
* Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and action plans to achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives within the South African market.
* Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to optimize their effectiveness.
* Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, actively pursuing key accounts and strategic partnerships.
* Manage existing customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
* Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
* Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and budgets to senior management.
* Collaborate closely with technical, engineering, and service teams to ensure seamless customer support and product delivery.
* Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring profitable agreements for the company.
* Represent Sulzer Pumps at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our products and services.
* Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
* Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in sales, with at least 3-5 years in a sales management role, preferably within the industrial pumps, fluid handling, or related engineering sectors.
* Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Strong understanding of the South African industrial market and customer needs.
* Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within South Africa.
* Results-oriented with a strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
