Your role at Clorox:
The Sales Manager Walmart & JBP Champion is responsible for leading the strategic commercial relationship, P&L, volume, Net Sales, and market share growth for the company's most critical customer: Walmart Chile. In addition to account management, this position acts as the Modern Trade JBP Champion, designing and standardizing the Joint Business Planning (JBP) methodology across all key accounts in the Modern Channel.The role combines direct leadership of sales teams/CPFRs, high-level negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver excellence in AMPS execution (Assortment, Merchandising, Pricing, and Shelving), optimizing Trade Spend and ensuring long-term profitable growth.
In this role, you will:
Walmart Strategic Account Management & P&L Ownership: Lead the commercial strategy, annual negotiation, and execution for Walmart Chile. Own the account P&L, delivering sales budget targets in Volume, Net Sales (NCS), Gross Margin, and Market Share (MS). Monitor key financial metrics including Trade Spend ROI, DSO, payment terms, and bad debt
Modern Trade JBP Champion: Define, standardize, and lead the Joint Business Planning (JBP) framework across the entire Modern Channel. Act as the internal mentor and reference for other KAMs in co-creating long-term value plans with key retailers, elevating negotiation standards and strategic alignment.
People Management & Team Development: Direct, coach, and develop direct reports (KAM, & CPFRs). Build functional capabilities, promote growth, manage performance, and strengthen succession plans within the sales function.
AMPS Execution & Commercial Strategy: Guarantee top-tier execution of AMPS (Assortment, Merchandising, Pricing & Shelving) in Walmart POS. Collaborate with Trade Marketing, Category Management, and Revenue Management to optimize coverage, portfolio mix, and promotional effectiveness
S&OP, Market Analytics & Business Variables: Lead demand forecasting (S&OP) for the account. Analyze Nielsen, POS, and Retail Link data to identify market opportunities, prepare competitive action plans, and ensure supply chain alignment (OTIF)
What we look for:
Years and Type of Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of commercial experience in FMCG / Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies.
- At least 4–5 years managing Walmart Chile as a Senior KAM or Key Account Manager, with deep knowledge of Retail Link, CPFR/VMI dynamics, logistics platforms, and negotiation processes.
- Proven track record of managing direct teams (minimum 2–3 people)
- Strong background in leading Joint Business Plans (JBP) and managing complex annual contract negotiations (plantillas comerciales)
- Preference Multinational companies from Food, Cleaning or Personal care (CPG/FMCG)
Skills and Abilities:
- Strategic & Commercial Leadership: Strong ownership, strategic thinking, and ability to influence senior leadership internally and externally.
- Financial Acumen: Advanced understanding of P&L management, Net Revenue Management (NRM) principles, and Trade Spend optimization.
- Analytical Capability: Expertise in market and retail data tools (Nielsen, Retail Link, POS, Excel).
- Languages: Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
Education Level / Degree:
- University Degree: Industrial Civil Engineering or Commercial Engineering (Ingeniería Civil Industrial or Ingeniería Comercial).
- Postgraduate Degree: Desirable MBA or Master's in Marketing, Sales, or Finance.
