RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and motivate sales professionals by coaching and transferring the knowledge of consultative selling skills and sales techniques, service offerings, and medical industry knowledge to the sales team to drive results. Drive territory growth through influence and mentorship of a team of diverse sales team members.
  • Manage the performance of direct reports by developing accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing career counseling, feedback and guidance and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to. Set and meet specific quarterly or annual sales goals; establish processes and systems to monitor and report progress to the leadership team.
  • Demonstrate expertise and understanding in the latest medical device performance/safety testing and medical device regulation certification market developments and trends to drive go-to market strategies.
  • Develop and implement the commercial strategy for the Life & Health Sciences organization. Utilize customer, industry, and internal sales data to drive performance and maintain a competitive edge. Partner with the Marketing and Industry Business Development teams to drive growth.
  • Lead client engagement by developing and managing relationships with management and key decision makers at large and medium-sized customers. Direct the development and execution of client engagement plans that outline business goals and strategies to deliver customer solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • University Degree (equivalent to Bachelor's Degree) in a related discipline
  • 8+ years of sales experience
  • 3+ years of medical device safety or regulatory certification sales experience
  • 3+ years of sales management/leadership experience
  • Deep knowledge of IEC 60601 and IEC 61010 standards, IVDR, MDR, MDSAP, ISO 13485, INMETRO, and related frameworks.
  • Ability to gain cooperation from others, deliver technical presentations to customers, and provide clear updates to senior level management.
  • Expert in sales strategies and tactics.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work outside the office as required.

What we offer:
Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated annual compensation for this position is $187,500 - $202,500 which includes a base salary of $125,000. - $135,000. and 100% on target performance. Members of the sales function are eligible to participate in the UL Solutions Sales Incentive Plan. The annual target incentive for this position is 50% of the base salary, paid quarterly, and is contingent upon performance. Compensation is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors.
This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
