Role Overview

We are looking for a Sales Manager for Southeast Asia (Malaysia) to help drive revenue growth and scale our commercial presence across the region.

In this role, you will be responsible for building strong pipeline, closing new business opportunities, and supporting the growth of our regional sales team. You will work closely with marketing, partnerships, and customer success teams to ensure strong pipeline generation, efficient deal execution, and successful customer onboarding.

Depending on experience, candidates may also be considered for the following roles:

  • Mid-Market Account Executive – for candidates with strong individual contributor experience in SaaS sales and deal closing.
  • Partner Sales Development Representative (SDR) – for candidates with experience in outbound prospecting, partnerships, or ecosystem-driven sales.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building pipeline, closing deals, developing partnerships, and contributing to the growth of a high-performing SaaS sales team in Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue & Pipeline Generation

  • Generate and manage a strong pipeline of new business opportunities across Southeast Asia.
  • Identify, qualify, and close mid-market and enterprise deals.
  • Work with marketing and outbound teams to drive consistent pipeline generation.

Sales Execution

  • Conduct discovery calls, product demonstrations, and commercial negotiations.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline updates and forecasting within CRM tools.

Partner & Ecosystem Development

  • Build relationships with agencies, channel partners, and ecosystem players.
  • Collaborate with partners to generate new revenue opportunities.
  • Support partner-led deal generation and pipeline development.

Sales Strategy & Process

  • Contribute to building scalable sales processes and playbooks.
  • Use data-driven insights to improve pipeline conversion and sales efficiency.
  • Ensure consistent use of CRM and sales tools for pipeline visibility.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing to drive lead generation campaigns.
  • Partner with the partnerships team to support partner-led opportunities.
  • Collaborate with customer success teams to ensure smooth onboarding and customer expansion.

Market Expansion

  • Identify growth opportunities across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
  • Provide feedback to product and leadership teams on market needs and customer insights.

Contribute to regional go-to-market strategies.


Requirements
  • We are open to candidates with varying levels of experience depending on the role fit.
  • 2–10 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, business development, or partnerships
  • Proven ability to generate pipeline and close deals in a B2B environment
  • Strong understanding of SaaS sales cycles and customer engagement platforms
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and consultative selling ability
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
Experience by role level
  • 6–10 years of SaaS sales experience
  • Experience managing or mentoring sales teams
  • Strong track record of achieving revenue targets
Bonus Points
  • Experience selling messaging platforms, CRM systems, marketing automation, or customer engagement tools
  • Experience working with WhatsApp Business API or conversational commerce solutions
  • Familiarity with Southeast Asia markets such as Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, or Vietnam
  • Existing network with agencies, partners, or SMB ecosystems in Southeast Asia

Skills Required

  • 6-10 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales
  • 2-4 years of experience managing and scaling sales teams
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience hiring, coaching, and building high-performing sales teams
  • Strong ability to manage pipeline and forecast revenue accurately
  • Experience selling into Southeast Asia markets
  • Strong strategic thinking, execution, and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
