We are currently recruiting the key leadership role of National Sales Manager, NZ. You will be responsible for leading a team of consultative and solution selling Business and Key Account Managers, driving a high-performance culture and ensuring profitable sales growth across the region. This is a permanent, full-time role based out of Auckland or another suitable location.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing, executing and reviewing business unit plans that are aligned with overall strategic plans, executing customer segmentation to identify business growth opportunities and implementing dashboards to measure and manage team performance.
- Forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue, and tracking sales data to identify sales opportunities through market research, competitor and/or customer analysis.
- Building plans and initiatives to achieve sales and profit budgets
- Driving sales growth of Provet high margin exclusives and corporate brands.
- Targeting new customer acquisition to grow market share while actively minimising account losses and investigating lost sales to ensure a continuous improvement approach to the customer experience.
- Providing leadership, coaching and development to sales teams across New Zealand. setting key performance indicator objectives and ensuring the team have necessary resources, training and capability to deliver a high standard of work.
- Ensuring the team is conducting regular business reviews while reinforcing the concept of ‘consultative selling’.
About You
To be successful you will have:
- Minimum of five years previous experience within a sales leadership position, preferably at a national scale with demonstratable performance in delivering results
- Qualifications in business, commerce, animal science or equivalent working experience highly desirable.
- Proven track record for demonstrating sales growth through the implementation of successful sales and marketing plans.
- Experience implementing a consultative selling model or strong background in a consultative selling environment.
- Strong understanding of the animal health industry including trends, customer trends, products and services.
- Superior excel skills coupled with the ability to interpret and meaningfully present data.
- Experience utilising Salesforce.
