The Opportunity

Join the London location as a Sales Manager, leading a high-performing sales team and driving profitable growth across multiple market segments. We're looking for a strategic and results-oriented leader with strong sales management experience, industry knowledge, and expertise in CRM tools such as Salesforce. In this role, you'll develop and execute sales strategies, build key customer and vendor relationships, coach and develop talent, and collaborate across the organization to deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve business objectives.

What you will do:

  • Contribute to the implementation and optimization of a focused a sales strategy.  

  • Lead all aspects of team management including recruiting, on-boarding, coaching and performance management.

  • Build and manage a sales pipeline ensuring sustainable growth in all market sectors and across all product categories.

  • Direct the flow of information for sales activities (lead management, opportunity management (including price governance and contract negotiation) and evaluate data to ensure that top-line sales and profit margin goals are met.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product management, procurement, supply chain and branch operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers and vendor partners to increase market share and deliver profitable growth.

  • Represent the company at industry events to promote products and services.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market developments to identify new opportunities for growth.

  • As Wolseley continues to grow and enhance its operations, the Regional Sales Manager will be a leading change agent, contributing to the implementation of identified sales effectiveness and sales enablement initiatives to best leverage the knowledge and skills of their team.

  • Direct the flow of information for sales activities and transactions (leads, billings, orders and contracts) and evaluate data to ensure that goals are met.

  • Assists in the annual budget planning process and regularly monitors team expenditures.

  • Responds to inquiries and researches and resolves problems related to sales, serves as liaison, working with other departments in the resolution of day-to-day customer service, administrative and operational issues.

What you will bring:

  • Post Secondary education plus a minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) year related experience, including a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years progressive sales experience, preferably within the wholesale distribution industry, or the equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Industry product knowledge related to Company product lines and markets served

  • Knowledgeable of the competition and aware of strategy and tactics

  • Proven ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of responsibility (internal and external) to prepare and deliver professional documents and presentations.

  • Consistently meeting deadlines within a fast paced work environment and works effectively within time constraints;

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated success working in a team environment;

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Fluency in CRM (Salesforce), experience with integration of related apps such as ConstructConnect, ZoomInfo and other sales enablement tools.

Base Salary : $100,000 to $110,000 + 25% MIP + Car Allowance

Where a salary range is posted, the total compensation range posted for this role represents the total compensation opportunity, which may include base wage, bonuses, commissions, and/or other monetary components, if applicable.  Placement in the range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, candidate experience, skills and qualifications relevant to the role. 


Benefits eligibility varies based on employment status and contract length. Full-time permanent positions are eligible for the full benefits package. Fixed-term contract positions may be eligible for health and dental benefits depending on the terms of the position. Short-term contract positions are not eligible for company-sponsored benefits.

Skills Required

  • Post-secondary education
