What you will do:
The Sales Manager of the Groups and Events (G&E) team is responsible for selling Cineplex theatres and venues throughout their designated territory as a meeting and event venue while supporting the Event Manager to manage the event details with the client and venues.
The Sales Manager is also responsible for finding new accounts and helping clients reach their event goals. In addition, the Sales Manager works closely with theatre and venue operations to ensure proper event execution as well as various business units within the Cineplex ecosystem.
You must have a valid driver's license and be available days, evenings and weekends. This is a hybrid position. Office location is 1303 Yonge Street, Toronto.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients, theatre and venue teams to ensure exceptional execution of events from inception to post-event follow up
- Create and maintain relationships with clients across the region through consistent communication to maximize new and repeat business
- Negotiate and prepare proposals, contracts, event profiles and invoices through CRM
- Generate new business through effective territory management, targeted prospecting, and attendance at relevant events (includes conducting site visits and open houses)
- Maintain good relationships with the film department, operations, finance, marketing, and other internal stakeholders
Education & Certification
- Post-secondary education
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of sales and service experience in a B2B environment
- Previous hotel, theatre, convention, or unique venue sales experience will be advantageous
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong negotiation skills
- Understanding of the market and industry trends
- Excellent customer service, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities to tight timelines
- Self-motivated and driven to deliver on target
- Exceptionally organized, detail oriented with strong time management skills
- Advanced working knowledge in Outlook, Excel, and CRM
- Background in event logistics is preferred (such as coordinating setup and managing work back schedule)
