Position Overview
The Sales Manager Czechia & Slovakia is a key leadership role within Cochlear’s Central Europe region, accountable for delivering on global strategic goals: growing the hearing implant market and retaining market leadership.
This role is responsible for:
- Achieving sales forecasts and driving revenue growth.
- Managing a sales expense budget strategically to maximize market impact.
- Leading robust short- and mid-term business planning to ensure both countries contribute to Cochlear’s 1.5 million aspiration.
- Building and developing a high-performing, future-ready sales and market growth team across both countries.
You will actively shape regional sales strategy, drive cross-country collaboration, and ensure all activities align with Cochlear’s Sales Excellence framework.

You will:
- Grow the hearing implant market through innovative partnerships and referral networks.

Your Responsibilities:
Business Development / Market Growth
- Develop and execute market growth strategies for CZ & SK aligned with global objectives.
- Expand referrals, increase clinical capacity, and build sustainable hearing care networks.
- Identify new business opportunities (ENT/clinic networks) in cooperation with Country and Growth Managers.
- Implement national projects and commercial cooperation programs to drive growth.
- Lead reimbursement strategy and execution for Cochlear products and services.
- Collaborate with hospital finance departments and manage receivables.
- Monitor healthcare systems, regulations, and economic developments impacting the business.
Sales Management & Customer Care
- Deliver sales forecasts and revenue targets for CZ & SK.
- Manage market development expenses within approved budgets.
- Maintain strong relationships with clinics, key accounts, and professional partners.
- Implement effective pricing strategies and manage tender processes.
- Ensure adoption of Cochlear’s latest products and solutions among clinical partners.
- Foster a customer-centric culture and safeguard market share against competitor activities.
Reporting & Business Analysis
- Lead data-driven decision-making through regular monitoring of sales performance and market trends.
- Provide strategic reports to the Country Manager and Central Europe Leadership Team.
- Track KPIs and ensure transparency and accountability for all initiatives.
- Identify market shifts, risks, and opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
People Management & Team Performance
- Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing, future-ready sales and market growth team across CZ & SK.
- Lead and develop the field-based sales and clinical teams.
- Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and support individual and team growth.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance by embedding Sales Excellence principles.
- Ensure all reports are trained, coached, and supported to consistently apply Cochlear’s Sales Excellence standards.
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent to deliver on current and future business objectives.
- Promote and model Cochlear’s values and “One Cochlear” behaviours, contributing actively to the Central Europe Leadership Team.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and data privacy standards.
- Demonstrate Workplace Health & Safety leadership and readiness for broader leadership responsibilities.

Your Profile
- Education: University degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field.
- Experience:
- 5+ years in Sales within the hearing medical device industry (preferably hearing solutions).
- 3–5 years in team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare systems in CZ & SK.
- Proven track record in business development and market growth.
- Skills:
- Strategic thinking and business planning.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Advanced MS Office and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
- Languages:
- Czech (native)
- English - Slovak ( fluent)
- Other: Driver’s license, willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
