We're looking for an experienced first-line sales leader to lead a team of Account Executives within Splunk's Public Sector business.

his role is accountable for driving new business and expansion revenue within an assigned territory, coaching individual sellers to execute with rigour, and building strong relationships with key public sector customers and partners.

Team Responsibility
Leading a team of Account Executives covering a verticalised UK public sector accounts team of 6 IC’s + associated supporting functions

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly manage, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives, driving individual and team performance against quota
  • Embed MEDDPICC as the core sales methodology within the team, ensuring rigorous deal qualification, accurate forecasting, and disciplined pipeline management
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with customers, partners, and system integrators across the territory
  • Collaborate closely with pre-sales, customer success, marketing, and partner functions, as well as counterparts across the wider Cisco matrix organisation
  • Drive expansion within the existing customer base, growing product adoption and account value across the security and observability portfolio
  • Partner with Customer Success to ensure strong renewal rates, healthy adoption, and positive long-term customer outcomes
  • Contribute to territory and account planning, ensuring coverage and resourcing align to opportunity
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, high-performance team culture

What We're Looking For

  • Proven first-line sales leadership experience (or a strong individual contributor ready to step into people management), ideally within enterprise software, security, or observability
  • Experience selling into UK public sector and/or government accounts
  • Solid understanding of the security and observability marketplaces, including key trends, buyer priorities, and competitive dynamics
  • Track record of growing and expanding customer relationships, with a focus on product adoption and customer success
  • Strong working knowledge of MEDDPICC or equivalent sales methodology
  • Comfortable operating within a large matrixed organisation
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • A collaborative, culture-first approach to team leadership

Skills Required

  • Experience selling within UK Central Government, Health and/or Education markets
  • Successful track record of leading and building teams selling enterprise software (5+ years)
  • Partner-centric approach to selling and building a scalable business
  • Growth mindset with ability to continuously learn, adapt, and evolve
  • Strong executive presence and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and C-suite
  • Experience closing sophisticated, multi-million-pound software and SaaS deals
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions
