Job Title: Sales Engineering Support Specialist
Location: Kansas City (or within Network footprint)
Job Summary
The Sales Engineer Support Specialist will assist the Carrier Sales Engineering Team with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data entry and vendor relationship items, as well as assist in designs for large Carrier Sales Opportunities. The Sales Engineer Support Specialist will provide daily support to Sales Engineers and the Sales Engineer Manager who directly support the Carrier Sales Team. This position will report to the Carrier Sales Engineer Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
65%
- Assist SE team to create/design Segra specific TYPE II solutions to accommodate customer requests.
- Become the Carrier Sales single point of contact for all TYPE II vendors.
- Drive to improve TYPE II vendor response times to ensure quote delivery and accuracy.
- Devise a tracking system to maintain structured TYPE II quote information.
- Become the process and resource expert for all Off Net Requests and Off Net Quoting for the Carrier Team.
- Report on quote status and vendor responses.
- Accurately input all requested TYPE II quotes into the CRM for Sales evaluation.
- Document best practices and methods for completing the CRM work.
- Ensure directives are followed closely by the SE Manager to create standardization and consistency.

- Become a tools expert for the GIS Estimating Application
- Assist in designs for multi-site quote requests for Carrier sales.
- Produce fiber KMZ designs, as well as fiber distance tables.
- Audit designs and fiber distances for accuracy, and format them for delivery to the SE.

- Work in CRM systems to process specific types of Opportunities as needed.
- Ensure accuracy of Sales data into CRM.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Preferred bachelor's degree in Business, IT, MIS, Telecommunications, Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Can-do attitude and willingness to learn
Experience:
- Knowledge and experience in cost benefit analysis.
- General knowledge of Telecommunication industry business practices, as well as ability to understand process flows. General understanding of order processing and provisioning.
Key Competencies:
- Excellent analytical, administrative, organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Microsoft Excel, ARC GIS, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects to meet customer commitments.
- Ability to multi-task and influence change.
- Support Sales team resulting in Quota Achievement for Carrier.
- Business travel could occasionally be required for this position, but is not expected
