The role involves working with our sales team to further grow our platform in the global market and address our customer needs. As a sales engineer, you would provide our sales team technical support and guidance on RFP’s, client meetings, and pre-sale technical discussions. You will also be responsible for supporting sales demos and presentations.

- Provide technical support to the sales team to communicate services and client needs
- Provide support to customers and resolves problems with services provided
- Read construction project plans, drawings, designs, and specifications
- Analyze RFIs and RFPs and draft responses and proposals
- Architecture solutions and budget / pricing for potential projects
- Develop demo environments for clients and partners
- Develop proposals and technical architectures which address smart building use cases.
- Understand various local communication protocols (i.e. MODBUS, BACnet, LON, etc.)
- Understand various hardware and software technology used for building controls applications.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills both in written and verbal
- Excellent time management, organizational, and problem solving skills.
- Professional sales and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical products.
- Proficient understanding of engineering drawings, floor plans, control schematics, and other construction related documents.
- Excellent ability to read and respond to RFPs / specifications related to building systems and infrastructure.
- Strong ability to apply engineering and technology principles to sales
- Ability to travel for customer visits 25% of the time.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction or related fields.
