Position Overview: Vanderlande is seeking a Sales Engineer III to support business growth by translating customer needs into tailored technical solutions. This role involves interpreting RFPs, estimating project costs, collaborating on system designs, and presenting value-driven proposals.
Responsibilities:
Understand automated material handling system design based on the logistical system concept for regular projects.
Find solutions for technical issues.
Convert system design into lay-out and coordinate with the sales lay-out engineer(s).
Price the designed system.
Write proposal sections and clarify the design and proposal to the customer.
Requirements:
Preferred bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field and work experience.
More than 2+ years of related experience.
Experience with logistical processes and system design.
Intermediate skill level of MS Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookup).
Willingness to work flexible hours
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with both controls and mechanical technology.
Knowledge-Skills-Abilities:
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong focus on constructive customer relationships.
Strong communication skills verbal and written.
Works well in multi-disciplinary team.
Strong sales acumen.

Strong estimating and calculation skills, with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Work effectively in an exciting and fast-paced environment.
Ability to multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously.
Ability to work effectively in an entrepreneurial international organization, often working across organizational, geographic, and cultural boundaries.

Travel:
Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
