We are looking for a Sales Engineer who will work closely with our Account Executives and our prospects. In this role your primary focus will be working with AEs to help our prospects better understand the value of our products (i.e. technical demos, proof of concepts, etc.). We are an early stage Series A startup and are looking for someone who has customer-facing experience and embodies a “get s**t done” mentality. An ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to explain complex technical concepts, a collaborative mindset (working with AEs, Product, and Marketing), and the ability to think “outside the box” to solve complex problems/challenges that come up in the pre-sale process.

  • Perform technical demos with prospects so they understand the different ways to configure the Matik platform 
  • Help train AEs on how to answer technical questions that come up in the sales cycle 
  • Track activities (i.e. demos, proof of concepts, etc.) in Salesforce and report on the sales cycles 
  • Conduct proof of concepts with prospects that will allow them to test out our platform for a specific use case 

  • 2-3 years of sales engineering experience
  • 4+ years in a customer-facing role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative and results-driven
  • Proven experience forging positive relationships with Sales teams

  • Experience in B2B SaaS sales engineering, customer success, or professional services
  • Experience with the Salesforce.com platform, Mode, Looker, and/or Tableau
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills
  • Data analysis and the ability to turn data into insights that tell stories 
  • Startup experience
