Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a  Sales Engineer. You will be focusing on growing the Atkore Customer base in your region and servicing existing accounts.

What you’ll do:

  • Key account management.
  • Promote features of the company’s products to resellers, end users, engineers, architects, consultants, engineers and project managers whilst also providing solutions and creating options for customer challenges to build desire.
  • Ongoing development and implementation of business plans and sales strategies in order to identify, penetrate, develop and take advantage of opportunities for the company to sell and expand its’ specific line of products into the market.
  • Assist in preparing the fiscal year forecast and annual sales and margin budget for the products in line with company expectations.
  • Continually review the market conditions and solicit business to ensure a pipeline of growth opportunities exist.

What you’ll bring:

  • Significant local experience in sales engineering, business development, marketing development or commercial management within the scope or context of the product range (electrical, metal or mechanical products) preferably with a multi-national company in a manufacturing/ distribution space.
  • Proven sound experience in communicating ideas effectively to senior level management and key stakeholders (architects, engineers, consultants and the like).
  • Sound oral and written communication skills including experience in analyzing, interpreting and reporting results.

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • Complete your Atkore immersion program.
  • Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore’s strategy.
  • Gain an understanding of your team.
  • Gain an understanding of the training materials and procedures your team owns.

Within 6-months, you’ll:

  • Have a better understanding of the wholesale market in your region
  • Built relationships with various customers
  • Have a solid understanding of the sales process

Within 12-months, you’ll:

  • Actively managing clients
  • Generating revenue for the Company
  • Quoting difficult jobs
  • Contributing to Atkore Sales across the Company

Skills Required

  • Significant local experience in sales engineering, business development, marketing development or commercial management within electrical, metal or mechanical products
