Are you ready to help customers solve complex flow control challenges?
Join a role where you combine technical sales, industrial process knowledge, and close customer collaboration to grow Valmet Flow Control products and services. You will translate customer needs into clear product specifications, configurations, proposals, and practical solutions. You will also support customers after the sale, build long-term relationships, and represent flow control expertise in the market. This is a role for someone who enjoys presenting, negotiating, travelling, and turning technical insight into business growth.
Your responsibilities
You will identify and grow new sales opportunities for Valmet Flow Control products and services in your assigned territory or customer segment.
You will lead technical presentations and product demonstrations for new and existing customers, showing how our solutions create value.
You will partner with customers to understand their technical requirements, operational needs, and challenges, then recommend suitable flow control solutions.
You will prepare technical proposals with product specifications, configurations, and pricing, working closely with internal teams.
You will negotiate contracts and terms of sale, provide post-sales technical support, and keep accurate sales, customer, and pipeline records in CRM software.
Expectations for you
You have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
You have a proven track record in technical sales, preferably in flow control, valves, or industrial process industries.
You understand industrial processes, fluid dynamics, and valve applications, and you can explain complex technical topics clearly.
You communicate well in English, both written and spoken; Italian proficiency is a significant advantage.
You are confident using CRM software, such as Salesforce, and Microsoft Office, and you are willing to travel frequently within your assigned territory.
To succeed in this role
To succeed, you will combine technical sales discipline with strong customer focus. You will need to understand industrial processes, fluid dynamics, and valve applications, then translate those insights into practical proposals and clear customer conversations. You will also need to work independently, collaborate with sales, engineering, marketing, product development, and customer service teams, and stay close to industry trends, competitor activity, and product developments.
We also expect you to align with Valmet’s Leadership Principles—practical behaviours that guide how we lead, collaborate, and succeed together:
Take accountability – Act with ownership, set clear expectations, and follow through
Lead with courage – Champion change, try bold ideas, and learn quickly
Build on trust – Listen to understand, be open, and create psychological safety
