InterSystems Corporation, a leading developer of database and integration technologies, is seeking candidates experienced in Business Process Automation, particularly leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Data Science technologies, to join its InterSystems North American Sales team based in Cambridge, MA.  The role will be fast-paced, wide-ranging and challenging, and will require comfort and experience with the full software development life cycle. It requires a mixture of solution architecture, net new application development, hands-on coding and problem-solving, sales awareness and/or knowledge of software sales processes, and business acumen. The ideal candidate will have a background building applications that leverage AI, and special consideration will be given to candidates demonstrating knowledge of existing AI-infused sales tools and/or general software sales business processes.  The person will work with the North American Sales Leadership to analyze current processes and identify opportunities for optimization, and will then determine, on a case-by-case basis, whether to meet that requirement with existing 3rd party COTS solutions, net new AI-infused development, or some combination thereof.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with InterSystems' North American Sales Leadership for full software life cycle projects to deliver AI-infused solutions for internal use with the Sales Department
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify areas where AI can be used to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Architecting and developing relevant solutions based on existing 3rd party tools and/or net new applications built by the candidate
  • Working closely with Sales Leadership and users of the software to ensure successful implementations
  • Delivering standard and customized on-site training in a classroom environment
  • Supporting our internal users during beta test programs or pre-launch activities
  • Occasionally participating and/or leading AI-focused internal trainings and transfers of knowledge with ~45 InterSystems Sales Engineers
  • Keeping up-to-date with contemporary AI/ML industry developments undertaking any relevant self-development or training
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify patterns and trends
  • Up to 20% of time might be customer-facing, e.g. helping our other Sales Engineers as well as our customers obtain information about various AI/Data Science best practices

Qualifications:

  • Possess broad expertise and experience in software application development, with a focus on AI and Machine Learning
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and/or implementing systems used to automate business processes, especially sales-related business processes
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong technical and business writing skills
  • Proven business analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Demonstrated experience with most/all of the following:
  • Data Science/AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
    • HTML, JavaScript, Angular
    • Object-Oriented programming languages
    • SQL and ODBC / JDBC
    • Self-Service Analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
