About The Contract Role
The Sales Enablement and Proposal Specialist is a critical role at Data Society supporting the small but mighty Sales team’s efforts to establish relationships with organizations that will benefit from our services. You will assist with Sales activities from prospecting to proposal, supercharging our ability to respond to new opportunities and expand current engagements. You'll help us guide prospective clients through the ever-evolving landscape of data and AI technologies, design programs that build capacity on their teams, and enhance how we present our point of view. This is a remote part-time (10-15 hours per week) contract role compensated at the rate of $50/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Sales team in meeting and exceeding sales targets across Data Society’s training, advisory, and solutions services.
- Research and identify target organizations and qualify prospects, such as learning, data, AI, and business leaders, based on defined criteria.
- Tailor sales collateral such as presentations, one-pagers, and other materials highlighting Data Society’s capabilities for specific audiences.
- Contribute to proposals, RFP responses, statements of work, and related documentation based on client requirements.
- Support coordination with technical team members to validate proposal language.
- Track activity and outcomes in CRM or shared tools.
- Maintain and enhance documentation of past proposals, projects, and outcomes.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling, documentation, and research, as needed.
What success looks like:
- Qualified and actionable target lists of organizations and prospects.
- Sales materials that are thoughtful, professional, and responsive to prospective clients.
- Clean handoffs with clearly outlined next steps and minimal rework required.
- Positive representation of Data Society Group brands.
Skills and qualifications:
- Experience in business development, consulting, or proposal writing.
- Intellectual curiosity about data, analytics, AI, and related topics.
- Strong writing and presentation skills in English with exacting attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Ability to think critically and synthesize information from various sources, including technical information.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to work independently and multitask.
- Collaborative mentality and positive attitude with the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships.
- Proficiency with Google productivity suite and/or Microsoft equivalents (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Proficiency with CRM applications, particularly Hubspot’s CRM.
- Proficiency with project management applications, such as Jira.
- Proficiency with generative AI tools for research and content development.
