Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Director of Sales is responsible for converting Jetseal's strong reputation and historically organic demand into a deliberate, measurable growth strategy. This hands-on leader will develop new markets and programs, expand share within existing aerospace and other critical-application accounts, and lead the people, systems, and commercial disciplines that support profitable revenue growth. The position reports to the General Manager and serves as a member of Jetseal's leadership team.

Jetseal manufactures highly engineered resilient metallic seals for extreme temperature, pressure, vacuum, leakage, material, and cyclic-performance requirements. The Director must credibly engage engineers, sourcing professionals, program leaders, and executives; translate customer application needs into actionable internal requirements; and coordinate closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Contracts, Finance, and Program Management.

Essential functions

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • Develop and execute Jetseal's sales and market-growth strategy, including target segments, priority accounts, value propositions, channel approach, and annual revenue and margin objectives.
  • Build a structured market-development process that identifies whitespace, new programs, competitor displacement opportunities, and applications where resilient metal seals can be specified into customer designs.
  • Own key strategic customer relationships and personally lead selected pursuits, technical discovery meetings, executive reviews, negotiations, and account-development plans.
  • Lead and develop assigned sales personnel, including contracts, sales support, sales order, program coordination, and outside sales team members.
  • Establish clear sales roles, goals, performance standards, coaching routines, succession plans, and accountability for results.
  • Develop sufficient command of Jetseal products and applications to discuss seal geometry, materials, coatings, temperature, pressure, vacuum, leakage, deflection, and performance tradeoffs with customer technical teams.
  • Translate customer needs into clear internal requirements and coordinate technical responses with Engineering without making unapproved design, performance, quality, or delivery commitments.
  • Establish and maintain opportunity qualification, bid/no-bid, quotation, pricing, margin review, approval, and follow-up processes for new and repeat business.
  • Partner internally on commercial terms, negotiations, export-control considerations, customer flow-down requirements, and complex proposals.
  • Create disciplined forecasting and pipeline management, including order intake, revenue, backlog, win rate, quote conversion, sales-cycle, retention, new-account, and market-share metrics.
  • Ensure accurate and timely use of CRM, Epicor ERP, customer portals, and reporting systems; improve visibility from lead and RFQ through award, order, delivery, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate across Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to balance customer priorities with operational capability and profitable execution.
  • Represent Jetseal at customer sites, industry events, trade shows, and HEICO business-development activities; build productive relationships across OEM, Tier, government, and commercial channels.
  • Monitor competitors, market trends, customer concentration, program risks, and emerging applications; recommend actions that protect existing business and create sustainable growth.
  • Prepare and present sales plans, forecasts, results, risks, and corrective actions to the General Manager and leadership team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
