We are looking for a Sales Director to increase Voltera’s presence within the transportation electrification space. This person will be responsible for identifying, nurturing relationships with, and closing deals with fleet customers who will utilize Voltera-developed electric vehicle charging depots. The ideal candidate has experience working with capital projects – preferably in an EV charging, renewable energy, real estate, construction, or utility environment – and making those projects commercially successful.

Examples include package delivery to homes and businesses, food and beverage distribution, uniform services, ATM services, etc.
  • Identify and develop relationships with potential leads in this segment.
  • Identify and develop programatic opportunities with customers which cover multiple sites across multiple markets.
  • Work across the organization and, with the support of Commercial Operations, develop contracts.
  • Provide input to the Real Estate & Development teams on specific site characteristics that would be a good fit for the market (e.g., location, pricing, incentives, site size, etc.).
  • Work with our incentives team to ensure all relevant utility or state agency grants and incentives are being leveraged.
  • Help ensure long-term customer success by working with Operations team to ensure alignment on specific customer and agreement requirements.
  • Manage customer accounts over the long term.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

MUST-HAVE:

  • 7+ years of experience in sales and business development
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience in driving commercial success of large capital projects
  • Demonstrated track record in sales and business development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to capture market requirements and communicate these to the company to drive pricing, product requirements, and customer support requirements.
  • Commitment to organizational excellence and constant awareness to seek opportunities to improve processes and quality of deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of sales opportunities, and tracking and communicating status of these to the larger organization.
  • Superb ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Strong ability to meet committed timelines, leveraging assistance and input from peers

NICE-TO-HAVE:

  • Experience in the following industries: real estate, electric vehicle charging, renewables (solar, wind, storage, etc.), utility, construction, or fleet management companies.

LOCATION:

  • Remote – CA, CO, GA, TX, VA, or Washington, D.C.

Base compensation ($140,000-$170,000): Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Our total compensation package includes the base salary, bonus, equity, and competitive benefits (medical/vision/dental insurance, matching 401(k), paid vacation time, & EV incentive).

What We Do

Voltera’s customers are companies that have a pressing need to power EVs at scale. They are challenged by the fact that charging infrastructure does not exist in the right place, at the right time, or of the right type necessary to support planned EV deployments. They're also challenged by the complexity of siting, building, owning, and operating EV charging infrastructure without disrupting operations or investing significant time and upfront capital. With strong equity backing from EQT – one of the world’s largest private equity groups –we’re executing on a multibillion-dollar plan to acquire, build, own and operate critical charging infrastructure to help you overcome those challenges. Deep experience deploying charging assets, proven critical infrastructure expertise and key strategic partners uniquely position Voltera to help you get to market fast, eliminate upfront CapEx, maximize vehicle time in service, and deliver a great charging experience
