PALIG is seeking a Sales Director specific to our Individual Life business to support the growth of our U.S. Hispanic Individual Life business. In this high‑impact role, you will lead distribution recruitment, relationship management, and sales growth for our Individual Life product portfolio, including Whole Life, Universal Life, IUL, and Term Life.
This role is ideal for a relationship‑driven sales professional who enjoys building agency partnerships, driving production, and serving as a trusted business partner to producers. Ideally, candidates will be based out of our Coral Gables, FL. office as their will be an expectation for a hybrid work arrangement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Grow & Expand Distribution:
- Recruit, contract, and onboard new licensed life insurance agencies and producers nationwide using a variety of sourcing methods (networking, referrals, social media, events, outreach).
- Achieve annual distribution growth targets of 30% or more year over year, aligned with PALIG’s producer profile standards.
Strengthen & Reactivate Existing Relationships:
- Review agency and producer performance annually to identify reactivation and growth opportunities.
- Partner with inactive or underperforming producers to re‑engage them through coaching and PALIG’s Distribution Expansion Program.
- Identify cross‑selling opportunities between Individual Life and Individual Health product lines.
Training & Field Support:
- Deliver ongoing product, illustration, and sales training through group sessions, one‑on‑one meetings, and in‑office visits.
- Serve as a subject‑matter resource for product positioning and sales strategies.
Distribution Performance Tracking:
- Monitor production results daily, weekly, monthly via the carriers’ portal or through the assistance of our Finance Teams.
- Understand and share the sales numbers with the Distributors, and help to set achievable/measurable production goals
Business Pipeline Management:
- Daily review of in-house business via carrier portals; underwriting negotiation as needed
- Provide Producer support to get cases activated and paid promptly.
Collaborate Across Teams:
- Partner closely with Licensing & Contracting to ensure smooth onboarding and compliance.
- Coordinate with Marketing on producer events, meetings, and business travel.
KEY REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree or four years’ relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
- 3 to 5 years of sales experience, preferably in financial services sales or directly in the individual Life insurance business
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Solid foundation insurance knowledge and good understanding of the mechanics of International Life products, sales and marketing of life products.
- Good understanding of how individual life business is processed and administered is a plus
- Life & Health Insurance License (214 or 215) will be expected to attain in the first 3 months of employment / or an investment designation is a plus
- Experience with sales illustration systems, producers/agent portals is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience with event planning
