Merative is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to drive interest in demand for Zelta, our advanced clinical trial platform. In this role, you will engage with prospective clients across the life sciences industry to identify research and operational challenges and convert early interest into qualified sales opportunities. Your efforts will directly support the adoption of Zelta’s robust solutions, which enable faster, smarter, and more efficient clinical trials. As an SDR, you will follow up on inbound leads and conduct targeted outbound outreach to uncover opportunities with CROs, pharmaceutical companies, and medical device companies.

Responsibilities 

  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound marketing leads and inquiries, executing marketing-qualified lead follow-up and nurture campaigns to educate early-stage prospects and transition them into qualified leads for the sales team 

  • Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls, emails, and social outreach, using personalized outreach to generate initial interest and build pipeline 

  • Work jointly with sales to conduct discovery calls, uncover prospect pain points, assess alignment with Zelta’s platform, and drive in-person client meetings 

  • Use a proactive and strategic sales approach to develop creative, personalized outreach techniques that deepen engagement and drive interest in Zelta 

  • Maintain accurate client and prospect data (interactions, activities, and lead progression) daily in Salesforce.com and SalesLoft 

  • Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly targeted objectives, including number of leads and opportunities created, and progression of opportunities (noticed, identified, validated, and qualified) 

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Zelta’s clinical trial solution business, competitive landscape and industry trends   

  • Identify and research potential clients to build and maintain a list of targeted accounts and qualified leads. 

Basic Qualifications (minimum requirements needed to perform this job) 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales/outbound sales 

  • Interest in clinical research and healthcare technology, particularly platforms supporting clinical trial execution and analytics 

  • Coachable, resilient, and intellectually curious mind-set 

  • Excellent communication and listening skills, both verbal and written 

  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and presentation skills. Exhibits a growth mindset by continuously evolving skills and sales approaches 

  • Motivated by sales and interested in healthcare technology, particularly in life sciences and clinical trials  

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote work environment 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and comfort using video conferencing tools for internal and client communication 

Preferred Skills 

  • Experience in life sciences, healthcare IT, or clinical research technology  

  • Previous use and experience with Salesforce.com, ZoomInfo, and SalesLoft  

  • Proven ability to quickly understand a prospect’s business needs and personalize outreach to each prospect accordingly 

  • Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets or KPIs 

 

Education Requirements & Work Environment 

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • Clinical research or healthcare certifications a plus but not required 

  • Home office that allows you to work efficiently and without disruption 

  • Occasional travel (3–4 times per year) for team events, sales meetings, or client engagements may be required 

Compensation

The salary range provided in this job posting is intended to reflect the general market value for the position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific requirements of the role. This range may also be subject to change as market conditions evolve. We encourage open communication throughout the interview process to discuss compensation expectations. For base-salary + commission sales roles, the range represents On-Target Earnings.

Min – Max :

€56,072.80 - €84,109.20 (EUR)
