Sales Development Representative Job DescriptionLindy is looking for our first Sales Development Representative to drive pipeline generation and qualify inbound opportunities for our Account Executives. This is perfect for someone eager to break into tech sales (or to continue to develop their skills) and build a career in one of the fastest growing sectors in software.
As the first Lindy SDR you’ll jump feet first into using AI agents to automate GTM processes. Working side by side with our GTM team, you’ll research prospects, refine messaging, qualify inbound leads, and ensure there’s a steady flow of qualified leads coming in to talk to the AEs. You’ll receive hands on coaching and mentorship with a clear path to Account Executive as you develop your skills and prove your ability to drive results.
We're an in-office company working from our San Francisco office 4 days/week. We sponsor visas and provide up to $20K relocation assistance.
What You'll DoQualify Inbound: You'll respond to and qualify inbound interest, moving hot prospects efficiently through the funnel
Execute Outbound Campaigns: You'll run targeted prospecting campaigns using established playbooks and sequences
Multi-channel Outreach: You will generate qualified meetings through email, LinkedIn, cold calls, and other channels
Pipeline Generation - Work toward consistently hitting monthly qualified opportunity targets while learning what makes a high-quality lead
Sales Collaboration - Partner closely with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoffs and gather feedback on lead quality
Continuous Improvement - Optimize messaging and outreach based on performance data, coaching, and market feedback
Product Knowledge - Develop expertise in AI agents and learn to articulate Lindy's value proposition to technical and business prospects
Hunger & Drive - Genuine excitement about breaking into tech sales and hitting targets. You're motivated by growth, competition, and results
Strong Communication - Naturally articulate, personable, and able to adapt your style to different audiences. Comfortable on the phone and in writing
Technical Curiosity - Eager to learn about AI and technical products. You don't need a technical background, but you should be excited to develop fluency in how AI agents work. (Any AI, CS, or technical experience is a plus)
Coachable & Adaptable - You take feedback well, iterate quickly, and are hungry to learn from experienced sales leaders
Resilience & Persistence - Sales involves rejection—you need to bounce back quickly and maintain activity levels even when it's tough.
Results-Oriented - You like having clear targets and get satisfaction from checking boxes and hitting goals
Team Player - Excited about in-person collaboration and learning from others. Can work 4 days/week from our SF office
Next Steps - You see SDR as a launchpad to becoming an Account Executive and closing your own deals (typically within 12-18 months at Lindy)
