As a Sales Compensation System Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our sales compensation system Xactly. Your primary objective will be to ensure accurate and efficient administration of sales compensation plans, calculations, and reporting. Your expertise in sales compensation administration, system configuration, and data analysis will play a crucial role in supporting our sales organization and driving the success of our compensation programs.
How You'll Make a Difference

  • Assist with administering and maintaining the sales compensation system (e.g., Xactly) to ensure accurate and timely processing of sales compensation plans and calculations.
  • Configure and maintain sales compensation rules, formulas, hierarchies, and other system components to align with our sales compensation policies and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, and HR, to gather compensation plan requirements, ensure plan accuracy, and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Develop and generate accurate and insightful sales compensation reports, statements, and analytics to provide key insights to sales management and facilitate decision-making.
  • Validate and reconcile data within the sales compensation system to ensure accuracy and consistency with source systems, such as CRM or ERP.
  • Perform regular audits of sales compensation data to identify and rectify errors, inconsistencies, or anomalies.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new sales compensation plans, ensuring they are properly configured and tested in the compensation system.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Sales Compensation team for technical matters related to sales representatives compensation inquiries, issues, and disputes..
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in sales compensation administration and technology, and proactively recommend process improvements or system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the sales compensation system, integrations, and data synchronization.
  • Assist with creating enablement material for training and educating sales representatives and managers on the effective use of the sales compensation system, including plan understanding, statement interpretation, and reporting capabilities.
  • Participate in special projects related to sales compensation, such as incentive plan redesign, quota setting, or sales performance analytics.


Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years as a Sales Compensation System Administrator or similar role, with expertise in managing sales compensation systems, preferably Xactly or a similar platform.
  • Strong understanding of sales compensation principles, including plan structures, commission calculations, quotas, and payout schedules.
  • Proficiency in configuring and maintaining sales compensation systems, including rule creation, formula setup, and data integration.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex compensation data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex compensation concepts to sales representatives and managers.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications in sales compensation administration or system administration are desirable.


The pay range for this role is listed below. Sales roles are also eligible for variable compensation and hourly non-exempt roles are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law. This role is eligible for benefits, including: medical, dental and vision coverage, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k), flexible paid time off and company-paid holidays and a culture of learning that includes a learning allowance and access to a professional coaching service for all employees.
Base Pay Range For US Locations:
$108,000 - $162,000 USD
