Role Mission
Are you passionate about business development and eager to join a global company transforming the industry with cutting‑edge technology? ABB is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Motion division in Brazil. If you have experience in sales and business development within the renewable energy sector — especially in utility‑scale solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), green hydrogen, and wind service solutions — and are ready to take on strategic challenges, this role is for you!
Responsibilities
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments in Brazil’s renewable energy landscape.
Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies aligned with ABB’s global positioning.
Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities in solar PV, BESS, green hydrogen, and wind turbine service markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, developers, IPPs, O&M partners, OEMs, and utilities.
Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
Collaborate with engineering, project management, and service teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Represent Brazil in interactions with global business lines and provide continuous insights to management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
Extensive experience in sales or business development.
Experience working in the renewable energy sector with EPCs, utilities, and IPPs in Brazil.
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
Fluent in English.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of local regulatory frameworks and grid codes.
