At IKEA Älmhult AB, around 270 co-workers develop and operate IKEA Museum, IKEA Hotell, restaurants, cultural experiences and workplaces that welcome co-workers, guests and the local community.

As we continue to develop Älmhult as a destination, we are entering an exciting new phase for hospitality, food, experiences and guest offerings. Through new concepts, new capabilities, significant investments and the development of new hospitality offerings, we are shaping the future of IKEA Hospitality in Älmhult.

And this is where you come in.

Job Description

People come to Älmhult for many different reasons. Some visit IKEA Museum, others stay at IKEA Hotell, attend meetings, events or explore the experiences we offer. As Älmhult continues to grow as a destination, we see great opportunities to attract more guests, create new business opportunities and strengthen our commercial offerings.

We are looking for a Sales & Booking Manager who wants to play a key role in that journey.

In this role, you will lead and develop our Sales & Booking team while driving the development of our Sales & Booking function from a primarily service-oriented operation to a more proactive and commercial capability as we prepare for the next generation of hospitality offerings in Älmhult.

You will work across our businesses, increase bookings, create new business opportunities and make it easier for guests to discover everything Älmhult has to offer.

You will combine leadership, sales development and operational excellence, contributing to the growth of our business, while creating a seamless customer experience.

Your success will be reflected in stronger customer relationships, increased bookings and an engaged, high-performing team.

In this role you will:

  • Lead, coach and develop the Sales & Booking team, creating a collaborative, customer-focused and high-performing environment.
  • Drive sales initiatives and identify new business opportunities that increase bookings, strengthen customer relationships and support long-term growth.
  • Develop and improve booking  processes and tools, customer communication and ways of working across our businesses.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across hospitality, restaurants, museums, meetings and events to create seamless customer experiences.
  • Contribute to the continued commercial development of Älmhult as a destination

Qualifications

We are looking for an engaged, business-minded and down-to-earth leader who enjoys developing both people and business.

You understand how customer focus, commercial thinking and collaboration work together to create long-term success. You are comfortable leading through change, driving development and turning opportunities into results.

Experience from hospitality, tourism, events, sales or other customer-focused industries will be valuable. Most importantly, you bring the ability to engage people, build trust and create momentum across teams and stakeholders.

We believe you have:

  • Experience leading and developing teams within sales, hospitality or another customer-focused business.
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and deliver business results.
  • Experience working with booking systems, CRM platforms or similar commercial tools.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate across multiple functions and stakeholders.
  • Experience driving change, improving ways of working and implementing new initiatives.
  • Strong commercial mindset combined with a customer-focused approach.

This is an opportunity to help shape how people discover and experience Älmhult. You will join us at an exciting stage of development, where you can influence both the customer journey and the future growth of our destination. If you are motivated by developing people, growing business and helping shape the future of hospitality in Älmhult, we would love to hear from you.
