Working with the Sales team, you will take a collaborative approach to planning and executing sales actively to generate new business from prospects and existing clients. You will also provide pre and post-sales support, to prospective and existing clients, to grow the business and AUM. Your role will entail support across various functions within the sales team with a key focus on technical and client servicing support.
Responsibilities
- Lead the onboarding process for all new advisers within the sales team.
- Assist sales team with pre and post-sales lead generation and support.
- Assist the sales team with formulating and checking content, presentations, and all adviser resources.
- Support the sales team through updating and maintaining the pitch pack.
- Assist clients by running comparisons on Morningstar tools and provide training on all Morningstar tools to clients.
- Utilise Salesforce.com as a CRM and lead the Salesforce process within the sales team.
- Assist clients with book reports and transition management into the Morningstar portfolios.
- Assist the sales team to screen and contact leads.
- Work with marketing & events to assist with the organising of portfolio report backs, presentations and other events.
- Assist the sales team in running the monthly sales report.
- Lead the process of monthly bulk mailers and ensure the website is maintained by uploading content, factsheets, and other resources on an ongoing basis.
- Develop a strong knowledge of client needs to ensure exceptional client service.
- Assist the sales team with running client webinars.
- Work closely with the compliance team to ensure all compliance requirements are communicated to the sales team and to clients.
- Provide clients with an exceptional and knowledgeable level of product support to make using our services simple and effective.
- Conduct group and one-on-one meetings to promote the Morningstar Managed Portfolios service and lead the online service offering within the sales team.
- Perform special tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum Bcom/equivalent investment or finance-related qualification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good investment and product knowledge.
- Sound knowledge of the financial advice process.
- Basic understanding of traditional finance, economics, investing and behavioral finance.
- Comfortable working in a high-performance team environment and the ability to work independently with limited oversight.
- Impeccable character with high ethical and quality standards.
- Comfortable working in a quantitative environment and have basic knowledge of investment tools such as Morningstar Direct or willingness to learn.
- Strong interest and ability to explain portfolio management concepts.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Meticulous about accuracy, grammar, triple-checking documents, and neatness.
- Enjoys and takes pride in putting together slides/ sales material.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
- Excellent grammar. Good at editing/ checking documents.
- Serious about providing excellent and efficient client service and a love for working with clients.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Interest in investment markets.
- Pro-active, task-driven and output-orientated.
This is an excellent opportunity for a sales-focused individual who has been working with DFM/managed portfolio solutions and/or financial advisers in a similar role. This position is based in our Cape Town or Pretoria office.
