Job Description:
RJ Watson, an Afinitas Company, delivers a diverse range of engineered products and services to customers worldwide. We specialize in high-load multi-rotational bearings, seismic isolation devices, and expansion joint systems for the bridge, highway, and heavy construction industries.
We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Sales Associate to support and grow our expansion joint seal product line. This is an outside sales role responsible for promoting products, developing customer relationships, and supporting the full sales lifecycle. Key ResponsibilitiesTravel up to 50% to promote and sell small movement expansion joint products to owners, engineers, and contractors
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, independent sales representatives, and fabricators
Collect and document customer quote feedback; maintain accurate records in CRM systems
Assist with product approvals in partnership with the Sales & Marketing team
Support internal and external stakeholders in resolving sales order, invoicing, and shipping issues
Identify new markets and opportunities for product expansion
Develop expertise in the installation and maintenance of RJ Watson expansion joint seal products
Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions
Coordinate travel logistics, including flights, accommodations, and transportation
Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and business needs
Perform other duties as assigned
2–5 years of sales experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with ERP and/or CRM systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities while following established processes
Associate’s degree (AAS) in a technical discipline
Proficiency with productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
Relationship building and customer engagement
Problem-solving and issue resolution
Strong organizational and time management skills
Adaptability in a dynamic, field-based environment
Attention to detail and strong follow-through

At Afinitas, we believe in rewarding excellence, and your hard work will be duly recognized and appreciated. The compensation for this role will consist of a competitive base salary with a range between $80,000 - $90,000 commensurate with experience and geographical location. This role has additional earning potential with a strong commission structure (100K-125K+ total comp), in addition to a robust benefits package.
