General Summary
The Sales Assistant- Apparel is responsible for supporting the execution of strategies set by their manager by performing general sales activities to maximize sales and margins, support and promote the brand and maintain optimal relationships with customers as well as internal partners. This position supports the Wholesale Apparel business.
The responsibilities described below are considered essential functions of the role. This position is based in our NYC office and requires working on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Support sales team and manage showroom
- Tracking all samples sent in and out
- Provide support to Manager with all business functions for assigned accounts
- Pull weekly selling from key retailers and prepare them to be sent to internal and external partners. This requires understanding of how to read sales results and KPI’s
- Complete all asset and image templates for assigned accounts
- Ecomm PDP management with team, including copy and imagery updates according to delivery instructions
- Manage dropship process in its entirety for assigned accounts
- Assist with customer needs, such as EDI management, shipping and extensions, reorders, returns, and exchanges if needed.
- Knowledge of this process is essential, tracking weekly On orders to confirm delivery status and any potential delays
- Partner with internal customers and colleagues including Production, Operations and Design
- This is essential in market preparation, coordinating sample, line sheets accuracy and shipping of samples
- Track and regularly update the status of inventories and ATS
- Aligns with tracking weekly on orders and monthly/yearly bookings
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with support and resources as needed, this role requires strong communication skills and being proactive and reactive as needed.
- Working collaboratively with all team members is essential.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Works well in a fast-paced environment and executes tasks quickly and efficiently- this needs to be emphasized clearly
- A self-starter with strong problem solving and organizational skills
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $26.00-$30.00. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
