US Foods is seeking a data-driven Sales Analyst to support the Area Commercial team through sales analytics, reporting, contract administration, rebate management, and performance tracking. This role serves as a key business partner to Area Leadership by delivering actionable insights that support revenue growth, profitability, customer retention, and commercial strategy.The ideal candidate will have experience in sales analytics, commercial operations, contract administration, pricing analysis, revenue management, or business intelligence. This individual will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large datasets while partnering across Sales, Finance, Marketing, Merchandising, Operations, and Revenue Management teams.
This position is 100% onsite at our Austin, TX location and includes direct supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a strategic partner to the Area Director of Pricing by analyzing Area and market performance data, tracking business results, and providing actionable insights and recommendations that support commercial growth and core business strategies.
- Conduct market share, customer, and sales performance analyses to identify opportunities for revenue growth, customer retention, profitability improvement, and increased market penetration.
- Analyze industry trends, seasonal shifts, competitor activity, customer purchasing behaviors, and menu preferences to support strategic planning and business decision-making.
- Identify and communicate key insights related to new business, lost business, customer penetration, sales performance, and growth opportunities.
- Develop, maintain, and distribute reports, dashboards, scorecards, and presentations that deliver meaningful business insights to Area Leadership and Commercial teams.
- Gather, consolidate, validate, and analyze data from multiple business systems, including Salesforce (Sous), Tableau, Sigma, Icertis, and other internal reporting platforms.
- Create clear, visually compelling charts, graphs, dashboards, and presentations that translate complex data into actionable recommendations for leadership.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales growth, profitability, customer acquisition, retention, participation, and strategic initiative performance.
- Measure and communicate the financial impact of commercial initiatives, growth strategies, rebate programs, and customer agreements.
- Manage customer contracts, agreements, rebates, and incentive programs, including contract generation, performance tracking, profit model support, rebate requests, and contract execution.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting related to customer agreements, rebates, incentives, and contract activities.
- Partner with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Merchandising, Replenishment, Operations, Revenue Management, Legal, and Shared Business Services to ensure alignment on commercial priorities and business objectives.
- Identify process improvement opportunities that enhance reporting accuracy, data visibility, operational efficiency, and contract management effectiveness.
- Supervise and provide leadership, coaching, and development support to a direct report.
- Work onsite five days per week at the Austin, TX location and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in a highly interactive business environment.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in sales analysis, business analysis, financial analysis, sales operations, commercial operations, revenue management, pricing, or a related analytical role.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data manipulation, reporting, and trend analysis.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate insights to various levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex data and trends
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in foodservice distribution, food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), wholesale distribution, or a related industry.
- Familiarity with customer contracts, rebates, incentives, pricing strategies, contract administration, revenue management, or commercial operations.
- Proficiency with Tableau, Sigma, Salesforce (Sous), and Icertis.
- Skilled in developing dashboards, KPI scorecards, and executive-level reporting tools.
- Demonstrated ability to present data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to leadership teams.
- MBA or Master's Degree preferred.
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state or local minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between
