Data Analyst

This Sales Operations function provides analytical, administrative, and operational support to the sales organization. As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in enabling data‑driven sales decisions by supporting enterprise data solutions, governance, and analytics capabilities.

This role partners closely with Global Technology Services (GTS) and cross‑functional business teams to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable access to high‑quality sales and commercial data, supporting ResMed’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Operations & Data Analytics

• Support Sales Operations through data analysis, reporting, and data management activities.

• Analyse sales and commercial data to identify trends, patterns, data issues, and opportunities for improvement.

• Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into clear data, reporting, and analytical solutions.

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs to support business decision-making. 

Sales Commission & Incentive Data Support

• Support data-related activities for sales commission, incentive, quota, and compensation programs.

• Prepare, validate, and reconcile commission-related datasets to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Investigate data discrepancies and support resolution of commission and incentive data issues.

• Provide data and reporting support for commission calculations, analysis, and business reviews.

Data Warehouse & DataMart Solutions

• Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise Data Warehouse and DataMart solutions.

• Extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources.

• Support integration of customer, physician, sales, product, and other commercial datasets.

• Develop and maintain SQL queries, data transformations, and analytical datasets.

• Participate in data modeling and ETL/ELT activities to support reporting and analytics requirements.

• Collaborate with GTS and other technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.

Data Quality & Governance

• Perform data quality checks, validation, reconciliation, and profiling to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

• Identify data discrepancies, anomalies, duplicates, and inconsistencies and work with relevant teams to resolve them.

• Support implementation of data governance standards and processes.

• Maintain data definitions and business rules to ensure consistent interpretation of sales and commercial data.

• Contribute to data quality monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.

Data Documentation & Lineage

• Create and maintain Data Dictionaries, Source-to-Target mappings, Data Lineage, and business rules.

• Document data sources, transformations, relationships, and dependencies.

Data Access & Security

• Support data access requests in accordance with established policies and procedures.

• Work with GTS and business stakeholders to define user data access requirements.

• Support appropriate handling of sensitive and confidential business data in accordance with company policies and applicable data privacy and security requirements.

Reporting & Business Intelligence

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, or similar BI platforms.

• Transform complex datasets into clear and actionable business insights.

• Monitor report and dashboard performance and identify opportunities for optimization.

• Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with agreed business requirements.

Continuous Improvement & Automation

• Identify opportunities to improve data processes, reporting, and analytical workflows.

• Automate repetitive data preparation, validation, and reporting activities where appropriate.

• Explore the use of Python, AI, and ML to improve data analysis and operational efficiency.

• Stay current with data analytics, visualization, data management, and business intelligence best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics, sales analytics, data management, business intelligence, or a related field.

• Strong experience in SQL and working with relational databases.

• Experience with data warehousing, DataMart, ETL/ELT, and data integration concepts.

• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, or similar BI/reporting tools.

• Experience performing data analysis, data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.

• Understanding of data modeling, data quality, governance, and data lineage.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with business and technology teams.

Preferred

• Experience or exposure to Python, ML, or AI.

• Certification in data management, analytics, or data warehousing technologies.

• Experience supporting sales compensation or incentive-related datasets.
