We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Supervisor to oversee and promote health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance across our operations in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing safety policies, conducting inspections and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements, and fostering a strong safety culture to maintain a safe and incident-free workplace.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct safety training sessions and awareness programs for employees on topics including emergency response, hazardous material handling, accident prevention, and safe work practices.
- Perform regular site safety inspections and audits to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance with safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, local regulations, client requirements, and applicable HSE regulations.
- Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce adherence to safety procedures.
- Identify workplace hazards and conduct risk assessments related to work activities, equipment, and the work environment.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Keep abreast of the latest HSE regulations, industry standards, and best practices, and recommend improvements to safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident reports, and other HSE documentation as required.
- Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging employee participation in HSE initiatives and continuous improvement.
- NEBOSH or IOSH certification is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Supervisor, preferably in Qatar.
- Good knowledge of Ashghal requirements and QCS 2014.
- Ashghal-approved Safety Supervisor will be given preference.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
Skills Required
- NEBOSH or IOSH certification
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Safety Supervisor
- Good knowledge of Ashghal requirements and QCS 2014
- Ashghal-approved Safety Supervisor
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and reporting skills
