General Purpose of Job:
The Training and Standards Manager will assist in the maintenance, development, and enhancement of our current programs and materials across Avflight’s network of 22 FBO’s.
Duties:
- Ensuring compliance with established Avflight Standards
- Preparing training and checking of instructional personnel and working with them to enhance existing and new courses and training material to a defined standard.
- Develop and implement normal and emergency operational procedures (SOP)
- Development of a training staff standardization and recording system
- Participation in accident/injury investigation and reporting
- Assisting with the ongoing improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Conducting on-site audits at all FBO locations and associated airline ground handling operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the aviation industry
- Experience in a leadership role, such as a Trainer, Lead, Supervisor, or Management
- Significant knowledge of Fuel Quality and Assurance (ATA 103), NFPA codes, SPCC Guidelines and requirements, General Industry OSHA regulations, and Training requirements
- Working knowledge of Avflight Standard Operating Procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Strong safety record
- A healthy regard for the importance of safety in the workplace
- Must possess strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Personable, organized, self-motivated, and has a strong work ethic
- Ability to multi-task
- Must be willing to travel frequently
- Must be 18 years or older
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must pass background check, pre-employment drug test, have valid Driver's license with a good driving record within company standards
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
