Overview

Position Summary 

As a Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for the corporate office as well as some designated remote offices, projects, safety contacts, and development, and will work daily with the Corporate ES&H Supervisor and our subsequent compliance, and training members. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, summarize, and present Behavioral Based Safety Program (BBSP) reports, audits, incidents, toolboxes, and job permits to supervisory team. 
  • Generate toolbox topics based on the BBSP reports mentioned above, as scheduled, or as required due to site protocols. 
  • Generate and/or review purchase orders and vendors for safety equipment, service, and training. 
  • Cover any other deemed work scope team opportunities. 

Qualifications

Required 

  • One of the following but not limited to:CHST, OHST, STS, CSP, ASP, designation from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals or Two or four-year degree in the ES&H-related field. 
  • CHST, OHST, STS, CSP, ASP, designation from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals or. 
  • Two or four-year degree in the ES&H-related field. 
  • Three to five years of experience in industrial, electrical, and safety construction. 

Preferred 

  • Preferred to be bilingual in both English and Spanish, reading, writing, and speaking. 
  • Proven work experience in a logistics, or similar role. 
  • Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools, and databases. 
  • Experience with e-learning platforms. 
  • Competent computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and databases. 
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments. 
  • Strong communication skills. 
  • Able to pass a seven-year background check. 
  • Exhibit integrity, flexibility, initiative, and adherence to company policies and programs. 
  • Clear and concise communication, both written and oral. 
  • Ability to effectively work within all levels or divisions on-site, in meetings, and within Prime Controls.

Skills Required
