1. Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental (HSE) laws, regulations, and company policies.
2. Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
3. Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate unsafe conditions and practices.
4. Develop, implement, and monitor safety procedures, standards, and work instructions.
5. Conduct safety induction training for new employees, contractors, and visitors.
6. Organize regular safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
7. Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure availability.
8. Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed investigation reports.
9. Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, training, audits, and statutory compliance.
10. Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for various work activities.
11. Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, confined space entry, hot work, lifting operations, and electrical work.
12. Ensure emergency preparedness by conducting mock drills and maintaining emergency response plans.
13. Coordinate with emergency response teams, medical personnel, and external agencies when required.
14. Inspect firefighting equipment, emergency exits, first aid facilities, and other safety systems regularly.
15. Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
16. Participate in internal and external safety audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
17. Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
18. Review safety permits and ensure work permit systems are followed correctly.
19. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports for management.
20. Assist management in achieving organizational health, safety, and environmental objectives.
21. Stop any unsafe work or activity that poses an immediate risk to people, property, or the environment.
22. Ensure proper housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the workplace.
23. Monitor environmental controls related to waste management, pollution prevention, and spill response where applicable.
24. Stay updated with changes in safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
Requirements
Experience: 2 to 5 Years
o Qualification:
1. Engineering graduate with two years’ experience and Diploma in Industrial Safety
2. Alternatively, Bachelor of Science/ Diploma in Engineering with 5 years’ experience and Diploma in Industrial Safety
