RESPONSIBILITIES
- Linguists will translate and transcribe foreign-language text and audio into English.
- Linguists will type in one of the required languages in real-time, via social media, text message, email, and other form of communication
- Preference given to higher clearances. However, all candidates with any level of clearance, including those with no clearance but who are deemed eligible, may be considered.
- Three years minimum of work as a professional translator or interpreter
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desired
- Candidates should have familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Telegram, Reddit, LinkedIn and Snapchat. Moderator of focal point for social media pages or activity is considered a plus.
- Interpretation between source and target language
- Transcription into English
- Translation into English and source language
- Collection from published, online and broadcast media
- Monitoring published, online and broadcast media while identifying relevant content
- Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise
- Subject Matter Expertise in Cyber areas of focus
