RSI Operator

Printpack is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Re-Seal It (RSI) Operator for the Converting plant in Grand Prairie, TX. RSI Operators are responsible for the overall operation of the Re-Seal It machine. This will be a 1st shift position 7am-3pm (Mon-Fri) OR a 3rd shift position 11pm-7am (Sun-Thu).

Additional $2.50/hr premium for NIGHT Shift only between the hours of 7pm-7am. Any hours worked outside of 7pm-7am will not receive the premium.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sets up and operates the bag machine in an effective and efficient manner.

• Monitors equipment and the bag making process to ensure quality.

• Demonstrates timely and effective problem solving skills.

• Performs maintenance activities on machine when necessary.

• Provides data to PRISM.

• Demonstrates effective interaction skills to support team activities related to effective process decisions and goals.

• Demonstrates knowledge and ability to perform quality control tests to ensure customer specifications.

• Ensures that finished product is packed according to customer specifications.

• Demonstrates knowledge of plant and process safety rules, safe operating methods, and good housekeeping standards.

• Monitors the area around the bag machine to ensure safety, environmental, and food safety policies and practices are followed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Internal Candidates: Must be in good standing (No Discipline above Step 1 within 90 days at time of application)

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• Previous packaging manufacturing experience a plus

• Good troubleshooting skills

• Exposure to computer interface controls

• Intermediate level mechanical experience

• Must have flexibility of job assignments
