Key Exciting Responsibilities

  • Rotate through four six-month assignments across critical engineering tracks such as test, firmware, AI/machine learning, systems software, and product management.
  • Design, build, and deploy innovative software applications while contributing directly to production codebases and real-world projects.
  • Explore and implement emerging technologies, including AI-powered developer tools, to optimize workflows, improve code quality, and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges, refine user experiences, and advance strategic product goals.

Essential Skills & Experience 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • Up to three years of relevant experience or a minimum of one prior technical internship. 
  • Strong programming ability in C++ or C#, complemented by scripting experience in Python, JavaScript, Bash, Shell, Ruby, or Perl.
  • Critical thinking and self-motivation with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Full legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.

Bonus Points For

  • Domain experience in computer vision, photogrammetry, 3D modeling, artificial intelligence, signal processing, image recognition, or GNSS.
  • Familiarity with the Agile software development lifecycle and AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
  • Recent leadership experience in university projects or community organizations.
