We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Rotary Operations Controller to support the planning, coordination, and real-time execution of helicopter flight operations. This role is critical in optimising schedules, supporting crews, and delivering a seamless, high-quality experience for our clients and Owners.
The Role
As a Rotary Operations Controller, you will be at the heart of our Operations Control Centre, responsible for planning and monitoring flights while ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency at all times. You will work closely with multiple departments to coordinate aircraft, crews, and logistics, acting as a key point of contact in delivering world-class service throughout the entire client journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and optimise daily flight schedules in line with regulatory, operational, and customer requirements
- Monitor live operations, providing real-time support to flight crews including weather analysis, routing, and flight watch
- Coordinate aircraft availability, maintenance inputs, and MEL restrictions
- Manage flight handling, permits, and communication with aviation authorities
- Support Sales and Client Services teams with flight planning, trip support, and Flight Suitability Checks
- Ensure smooth execution of day-of-flight operations, including logistics, catering, and client updates
- Proactively manage schedule changes and operational disruptions, balancing customer needs and cost implications
- Maintain strong communication with internal teams, clients, and external partners
- Build and maintain customer and industry relationships to enhance service delivery
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and maximise fleet utilisation
Essential:
- Proven experience in an Operations Control role within an aviation environment
- Strong knowledge of CAA/EASA regulations and Flight Time Limitations (FTL)
- Experience in flight planning, scheduling, and real-time operational support
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational systems
Working Pattern
- Monday – Friday
- Rotational Shift:
- 0700 – 1500
- 1400 - 2200
- One weekend per month and bank holidays on a rotational basis
- Flexibility required to support operational and business needs
