- Develops, coordinates, facilitates, and implements orientation and ongoing education programs.
- Designs and implements curriculum for HHAs, PCAs, and nursing staff in compliance with NY State Department of Health standards.
- Provides classroom and practical instruction.
- Prepares testing materials to evaluate student performance.
- Supervises skill performance for PCAs/HHAs.
- Maintains accurate training and student records.
- Conducts in-service training in accordance with DOH guidelines.
- Conducts field visits to clients' homes to assess/reassess, supervise the Aides and provide training support, and in order to complete the physicians orders for patient care.
- Observes and ensures aides are clinically proficient and adequately trained no less often than every three months for private pay patients and every six months for MLTC patients. Supervises field activities of Home Health Aides (HCSS).
- Provides hands-on nursing care during Assessment/reassessment visits.
- Current NY State Registered Nurse License
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing
- 1 year supervisory experience
- Bachelor's Degree
$50.00-$60.00 per hour
