Job Summary
Full-Time OB/GYN Ambulatory Staff Nurse - Waltham-Utilizes the nursing process, evidence-based science, and collaboration with other healthcare disciplines to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients and families
-Provides competent, compassionate nursing care based on scientific principles and the use of nursing process and a primary nursing model.
-Identifies, facilitates, and evaluates outcomes of nursing care for an individual patient or groups of patients.
-Coordinates involvement of the patient, family, and health team members in patient care, including patient/family teaching.
-Participates in orientation of new permanent and temporary staff members.
-Participates in daily operational activities necessary for safe patient/staff environment.
-Participates in and contributes to performance improvement activities for the unit.
Skills and Experience for a(n)OB/GYN Ambulatory Staff Nurse
-MA RN license required
-BSN required
-Required to work with a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, communicate effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment
-Critical thinking skills required
-Required to work with patients and families while developing respectful, trusting, and ongoing relationships
-AHA BLS required
-Electronic fetal monitoring experience required
-Experience working in a women’s health related field and/or in an ambulatory setting preferred

Summary
Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.

-Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.
