Role Summary
Organizes and implements a variety of responsibilities related to the flow of materials, products, services and associated systems information. Duties involve but are not limited to supply chain services, inventory control, critical parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, shipment of products, and third party warehousing. Evaluates customer support and field service commitments to ensure customer requirements are met. Serves as liaison between sales and operations teams to develop concepts and coordinate product knowledge; provides data analysis for production planning and volume studies; and participates in process/rating improvement efforts. Assists in developing logistics plans and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our company as a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) & RTV (Return To Vendor) Specialist. The primary responsibility of the RMA/RTV Specialist is to serve as a specialist in the repair of hardware, computer systems and computer peripherals. The RMA Specialist is a thorough and precise inspector of returned product and will carefully document issues, keep accurate records and communicate to concerned parties in a timely fashion.
This position will also consist of delivery of material from our building to other locations twice a week. The delivery of the material will be in a 30' truck with lift gate. Candidate must be comfortable driving and performing these delivery tasks.
Job Requirements
• Receive RMA return in CRM/ERP system
• Maintain and update RMA ticket information in CRM software throughout repair process
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair customer return computer system, hardware, and peripherals.
• Perform hardware rework and update SW/FW as required.
• Coordinate with tech support to process RMA cross-ship requests
• Coordinate with vendor to request and process RTV (return to vendor) shipment.
• Document and report RMA trends/repetitive problems to supervisor
• Long-distance driving
• Obeying and following applicable traffic laws
• Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle
• Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
• Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
• Complying with truck driving rules and regulations
• Reporting defects, accidents and violations
• Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)
• Loading and unloading box trucks with forklifts and pallet jacks
• Interacting with customers in a professional manner
• Recording cargo deliveries
• Verifying cargo for accuracy
