Summary
This role is a key contributor to the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Specialist processes and product quality, compliance and Quality improvement initiatives. This position will report to the Global Customer Quality Manager. This person will work collaboratively and cross-functionally with the Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to ensure compliance with and improvements to the RMA process, as well as improving the Customer experience
Primary Responsibilities
- Documenting RMAs: Receive RMA units into the factory, work through the RMA process and ship resolved units. Incorporate all work within the ERP system to drive material flow and maintain findings. Issue Evaluation and Rework jobs to the production floor. Ensure that all documentation is auditable and sufficient to drive corrective action activities.
- Supporting Engineering: Discuss technical problems encountered with manager, engineering staff, or purchasing staff. Work cross functional to drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Troubleshooting: Perform basic evaluations and triage material as received.
- Inventory Management: Owner of all inventory locations for RMAs throughout the manufacturing facility. Including cycle counting inventory as needed. Be the gatekeeper of material leaving and entering the RMA area. Help organize and maintain layout of RMA area.
General Tasks
- Strict compliance with quality, occupational safety, and environmental regulations.
- Implementation of the instructions of the quality / environmental management representative and the occupational safety specialist.
Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies
- Two (2) to five (5) years related experience
- High school diploma, trade school or equivalent
- Familiar with using an ERP system to manage RMA transactions
- Familiar with data entry and basic computer skills (Excel, Outlook)
- Must be able to communicate effectively with peers and superiors
- Familiar with using web-based project/ticket management applications like Jira or Wrike
- Possess excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Be able to investigate customer complaints regarding quality and make appropriate adjustments
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
