We're looking for a Risk Modeling Lead to strengthen Clara’s credit risk capabilities and contribute directly to business resilience and growth. You’ll lead the design and implementation of predictive credit risk models, working cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and Data teams. Your insights will shape credit strategy, drive innovation, and ensure that data and analytics are central to decision-making at Clara.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the development and maintenance of regulatory and strategic risk models, including expected credit loss (ECL) methodologies
Supporting portfolio performance and credit strategies with robust data analysis
Driving innovation in credit risk analytics to enhance underwriting and monitoring frameworks
Monitoring model performance, proposing recalibrations, and coordinating model updates across teams
Overseeing Risk MIS: monitoring risk policies, portfolio trends, and key credit metrics
Translating data into actionable insights to inform leadership and business decisions
Implementing process improvements for greater scalability, transparency, and accuracy
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Must havesAcademic background in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
Proven experience in credit risk management in Latin American markets
Advanced skills in SQL and data visualization
Experience managing the full lifecycle of risk models, from development to backtesting
Strong grasp of predictive analytics, risk methodologies, and regulatory compliance
Deep commitment to data integrity and hands-on experience with large financial datasets
Fluency in English
Ability to lead cross-functional projects and communicate clearly with senior stakeholders
Experience in fintech, especially in high-growth or startup environments
Familiarity with credit cards, payments, and B2B financial solutions
Exposure to audit processes and regulatory reporting
Understanding of financial conciliation and operational finance systems
Knowledge of Latin American regulatory standards
Experience working with collaboration tools like Slack, Notion, and Google Drive
Passion for building from scratch with a solution-oriented, collaborative mindset

Claridians in a hybrid mode split their time between working from the office, talking to or visiting customers, or working from home. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for each individual and team.
We don't enforce a minimum number of days for most roles, but you're expected to spend time at the office organically, and be at the office most days during your ramp-up or when required by your leader.
