Position Summary:

The Risk Mitigation Analyst will develop data and trend analyses as well as aid in the creation of exception reporting, presentations, and Key Performance Indicators. In addition, this position is expected to possess client service and relationship skills and be able to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Prepare claim analytics that identify risk mitigation opportunities and provide solutions that create favorable client underwriting profiles.
  • Produce monthly client claim analytics that identify key performance trends and indicators.
  • Generate and organize monthly data that is used in the creation of analytical reports.
  • Prepare and update Client Dashboards that aid leadership in resource allocation
  • Research and report on industry trends with goals of identifying inefficiencies in client strategies and tactics that affect their overall risk profile.
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that identify areas of strength and opportunity within a book of business, and implements solutions related to Inventory Shrink.
  • Establish and maintain Client Service Calendar outlining BKS’ service commitments and deliverables.
  • Assist and participate in client and firm level training and awareness programs including assessments, presentations and other meetings that builds superior experiences with our clients and colleagues.
  • Work with insurance company partners and BKS partners in establishing claims protocols that ensure proper reporting, notification, and settlement authorities.
  • Research vendor services, as necessary, that align with risk management recommendations.
  • Regularly review client risk trends and keep up to date with industry best practices.
  • Develop an understanding of marketing strategies and contribute to business development and renewal opportunities by attending client meetings to explain BKS’ approach to claims mitigation and resolution.
  • Provides summaries of claims reviews, activities, etc. to appropriate Advisors, Director of Risk Mitigation Services and other colleagues and clients as necessary.


Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Knowledge and skill in loss forecasting, statistics, and insurance programs.
  • Analyzing trends, determining courses of action and presenting solutions is an important component to this role.
  • Ability to present solutions, value propositions and risk mitigation strategies to colleagues, clients and prospects.
  • Strong knowledge and skill with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.
  • Ability to quickly learn and use job specific programs, such as Sagitta, Zywave, Loss Forecaster, Mod Master and GoToMeeting, along with insurance company partners’ websites.
  • Knowledge of statistical programs, such as “R”, Stata, or SPSS.
  • Actuarial knowledge and/or study is a plus.
  • Demonstrates the organization’s core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with the firm’s culture.

Special Working Conditions:

  • Fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Travel may be required.
