SUMMARY:
Oversees and coordinates the organization-wide risk management program and provides guidance to management and staff on the program. The Risk Manager works collaboratively with members of Senior Leadership, Center Managers, and other staff to assess minimizing risk to the organization and ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Bureau of Primary Health Care risk management requirements.
This is NOT a remote position. Travel is required.
SCHEDULE/HOURS:
- Monday - Friday
- Typically 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Rarely weekends
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree or higher. Prefer fields such as healthcare administration, nursing, or public health.
- Minimum of five (5) years in health care setting.
- Prefer a minimum of 3 years’ experience in risk management and OSHA practices.
- Certification as a certified professional healthcare risk manager (CHPRM) is desired. If not certified, must obtain within the first year of employment. To qualify for certification, must meet the qualifications in 1 and 2, and have risk management experience. Risk management experiences are defined as 3,000 hours or 50 percent of full-time job duties within the last three years dedicated to health care risk management in a health care setting or with provider of services (e.g. consultant, broker, or attorney) to the health care industry.
