About the role

We’re looking for a Risk Management Consultant to join our growing Intact Prestige team. In this permanent position, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our high net worth clients across the BC region.

Whether you’re an experienced Residential Appraiser or a Property Adjuster with strong customer service skills, we are open to considering candidates from various backgrounds. If you're transitioning into the appraisal field, don’t worry—we’re happy to provide the necessary training to ensure you succeed in your new role.

You will conduct thorough appraisals, assess risk, determine replacement costs, and identify potential loss exposures, all while providing tailored solutions to meet the specific needs of each unique property.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver an effortless and exceptional customer experience, in line with Intact Prestige’s high standards.
  • Conduct on-site property inspections, measure, photograph, and assess premium finishes and unique home features.
  • Collaborate with brokers, clients, underwriters, and internal teams to assess and evaluate risks and exposures.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local contractors to stay informed on regional construction costs and trends.
  • Stay current with building codes, industry trends, and any shifts in construction practices or costs.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend loss prevention solutions for high net worth residential properties.
  • Assist underwriting with acquiring new business and supporting account retention by identifying coverage gaps.
  • Travel regularly throughout the BC region, including occasional overnight trips.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Property Adjusting, Property Appraisal, or a related field, with a strong background in customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with an emphasis on delivering superior client service.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage your own time while collaborating with a team.
  • A solid understanding of high-end residential construction, architectural features, and fire protection systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans is a plus.
  • Familiarity with architectural drawing or estimating software is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • CIP, CRM, or architectural designations preferred but not required.

Salary of the successful candidate will typically be positioned between the following range, taking into consideration a number of factors including prior experience, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, location and internal equity:

$60,200.00 - $90,200.00
