As a Risk Management Associate, you will be on the front lines, proactively managing complex counterparty and market risks to maintain the resilience and stability of the global derivatives markets. What You’ll Do
Monitor assigned asset classes (Energy, Agriculture, Metals, FX, or Interest Rates) and implement decisive actions to manage associated counterparty and market risks.
Generate recurring management reports and deliver critical ad hoc data analysis to inform Clearing House Senior Management decisions.
Serve as a subject matter expert, providing crucial internal support on CME systems and advising external clearing members on specialty-specific information.
Lead the preparation, coordination, and contribution during cyclical risk reviews of clearing member firms.
Assess risk impact for major Clearing House initiatives and partner with project teams to integrate effective mitigation strategies.
Communicate complex changes to margining procedures and structures, ensuring clarity and transparency across stakeholders.
Mentor and train junior team members, ensuring continuous growth and robust succession planning within the team.
What You’ll Bring
Experience: 3–5 years in a dynamic risk management, middle-office, or finance role, with direct exposure to futures across Energy, Agriculture, Metals, FX, or Interest Rates.
Analytical Prowess: Possess demonstrated quantitative, analytical, and sophisticated problem-solving skills to navigate complex financial data.
Technical Acuity: Leverage advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets to drive data manipulation and reporting efficiency.
Collaboration: Thrive in a team-centric environment with proven ability to train, mentor, and elevate junior staff.
Communication: Articulate complex risk concepts clearly and persuasively in both oral and written form to senior management and external contacts.
