Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Management Analyst to join our team. This role will support the Department of the Air Force’s Performance Management Accountable Official in developing and implementing an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Program. The ideal candidate will have a solid financial analysis, risk management, and performance management background.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Performance Management Accountable Official to develop and implement the ERM Program.
- Identify potential financial risks that could impact the Air Force’s operations and assess their likelihood and potential impact.
- Conducting in-depth financial analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and monitor their effectiveness.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership.
- Provide expert advice on financial management and risk assessment.
- Gathering and analyzing financial performance and risk management data and preparing detailed reports for senior leadership.
- Leverage Strategy, Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution process (SPPBE) and additional risk assessment activities and integrate with Internal Control programs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Assisting in developing and implementing the ERM framework, ensuring it aligns with the Air Force’s strategic objectives and complies with relevant regulations and standards.
- To provide a comprehensive training program and support training design and delivery on RM principles as outlined in Air Force Instruction (AFI) 90-802, Risk Management.
Experience Requirements:
Mandatory:
- 8 years of experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in financial analysis software and tools
- Knowledge of federal financial regulations and policies
- Knowledge of Strategy, Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution process (SPPBE)
- Experience with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks and methodologies
- RMIC
Preferred:
- Understanding of ERM Program Plan with AFI 90-802
