POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

The Risk Analyst is a key member of the Risk Management Team, supporting business transformation through emerging technologies, AI and automation, process improvement, and data-informed risk management. This role emphasizes the evaluation, design, implementation, and scaling of innovative business solutions while supporting risk-related operational activities, including insurance-program coordination, reporting, documentation, and stakeholder communication. The Analyst connects innovation strategy to practical pilots, measurable results, risk-aware adoption decisions, and lasting enterprise value.

Working with leadership, project teams, internal business partners, external vendors, subcontractors, and insurance partners, the Analyst will help identify high-impact opportunities, improve business processes, assess technology-adoption risks, and support successful implementation across the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Innovation and Transformation

  • Conduct research and analysis on market trends, disruptive technologies, AI, automation, Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and competitor strategies to identify high-impact opportunities
  • Support the design, scoping, evaluation, and rollout of innovation pilots across technology, automation, data, and emerging-tool use cases
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, document current-state processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend technology-enabled improvements
  • Define project objectives, success metrics, business cases, risks, and expected outcomes for innovation initiative
  • Monitor active pilots and innovation initiatives; document results, best practices, lessons learned, and recommendations for future adoption
  • Identify opportunities to scale successful pilots into sustainable, enterprise-level solutions
  • Prepare executive-ready reports, presentations, dashboards, and recommendations that communicate insights, progress, outcomes, and strategic implications
  • Coordinate workstreams among internal teams, technology vendors, and external partners to keep initiatives on schedule and within scope
  • Contribute to an innovative culture by sharing tools, frameworks, learnings, and practical applications of emerging technology across business units

Risk, Insurance, and Operational Support

  • Track and assess key risks related to technology adoption, operational change, data use, and innovation initiatives; recommend practical mitigation strategies
  • Support risk-management activities related to corporate insurance, risk accounting, project documentation, and general department administration
  • Coordinate assigned Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP) project activities, including subcontractor enrollment, verification, and follow-up
  • Review CCIP reports regularly to help maintain program continuity and identify discrepancies requiring attention
  • Communicate with subcontractors and insurance partners regarding insurance discrepancies, questions, and required documentation
  • Gather relevant site and project information from project teams as needed to support risk and insurance activities
  • Process, organize, and maintain records for insurance-related change orders and departmental files
  • Create project status reports and maintain accurate documentation for management review
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, data analytics, technology management, risk management, finance, insurance, or a related field is required or strongly preferred
  • One to three years of relevant experience in business analysis, innovation, consulting, strategy, risk management, insurance, construction operations, or a related field
  • Familiarity with AI, automation, LLMs, Generative AI, and enterprise technology use cases is preferred
  • Experience with insurance, risk management, construction operations, an insurance brokerage, or a construction firm is preferred
  • Experience with Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs (CCIP) is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data and observations into actionable recommendations
  • Ability to evaluate business processes, identify risks and inefficiencies, and support practical improvement initiatives
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and relationship-management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and reporting or dashboard tools
  • Highly organized, adaptable, detail-oriented, and action-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated curiosity, creativity, sound judgment, and interest in the future of work, emerging technology, and continuous improvement
  • Positive, collaborative, team-oriented attitude with a desire to learn and grow within a leading construction firm
